About Us
Sargent is located an hour southwest of Houston on the Texas coastline. It is known for some of the best fishing on the Gulf Coast. The East Matagorda Bay, Caney Creek and the Gulf offer fisherman a multitude of choices for wetting a line and catching their limit. Sargent Beach is a well-kept secret for those who like the beach but not the crowds. We are a family owned and operated park, opened since 2001. Whether you are looking for a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the big city or some relief from the cold up north, our quaint little piece of southeast Texas promises to meet your needs. Shaded sites nestled in amongst historic oaks and pecans, Caney Creek offers adequate shade for the hot Texas summer months or more open sites for enjoying the temperate Winter season. The Texas Intercoastal Waterway is 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by boat from the park. Our on-site fish cleaning station and boat ramp give you all the conveniences of the local marinas without leaving the park. We also offer on-site shower, laundry, and a propane filling station. Don't worry about getting a fishing license or beach permit before you get here we sell them at the park. We also have a notary service. Sargent Beach is a sprawling mass of open sand for those that enjoy a beach without the crowds. Stay a day, week, or lifetime!
We offer full hookups, pull throughs, and padded sites with picnic tables. We also have 3 park models for rent, with fully equipped kitchens and cable TV. Give us a call or email for rates and availability and welcome to Caney Creek!
Making a Reservation
Just give us a call and let us know if you are wanting a cabin or a RV spot. We will take a credit card to hold the reservation, but the card will not be charged until you arrive. If you need to cancel you need to do so 48 hours in advance or 72 hours in advance on a holiday weekend. If cancelled late the entire amount due will be charged to your card. Cancellation policy is strictly enforced.

Daily Rates:
Premium Sites $40 per night
Non-Premium Sites $35 per night
Weekly Rates:
Premium Sites $230 per week
Non-Premium Sites $200 per week
Monthly Rates:
Premium Sites $375 plus elec.
Non-Premium Sites $350 plus elec.
Electricity charged at $0.14 a kilowatt
Full time RV site reservations take precedent over daily or 1 - 3 month reservations.
Direct TV is an additional cost of $15 per month per box.
Cabins:
Daily Rate - $100.00 per night for cabin #33 and #34.
Daily Rate - $120.00 per night for cabin #35.
Weekly Rate - $525
2 night minimum on weekends
